Commercial Vessel Survey in Bradenton, Florida
Great River & Lakes – Marine Surveying Co. works with commercial operators, buyers and underwriters in Bradenton. Our Tampa Bay regional operation can quote Bradenton assignments after reviewing the vessel location and schedule. We confirm the purpose, inspection access and written deliverable before the assignment.
What the survey addresses
We define a private inspection around the vessel’s intended service, accessible hull and machinery, installed systems, safety equipment and records. Operating permits, statutory inspections and a Coast Guard Certificate of Inspection remain the responsibility of the relevant authority. The report records observations within the agreed scope and identifies compartments or equipment we could not inspect safely. Specialized diagnostics, laboratory work and destructive testing are separate unless specifically quoted.
Local inspection planning
A boat on the Manatee River may need a different haul-out or sea-trial plan from a vessel in Cortez or near the Gulf. Send the exact marina or private-dock address, yard contact and any bridge or access constraint. If the assignment calls for an out-of-water view or a sea trial, confirm the yard, operator, lift capacity, charges and timing independently. We can align the inspection with those arrangements once they are in place.
Prepare your request
Send vessel particulars, commercial use, operating area, passenger or workboat status, certificates, maintenance records and the requesting party’s written requirements. Identify the manager who can provide records, keys and safe equipment access. Include the vessel’s year, make, model, length, exact berth, access contact and preferred date. Forward any insurer, lender or contract deadline and written report requirements at the outset.
Findings and next steps
Our written report is based on the vessel’s observable condition on inspection day. Material limitations and recommendations for follow-up by a qualified technician or yard are stated where appropriate. A survey does not guarantee future performance or a third party’s acceptance of the report.
Common question
Does a private survey issue a Certificate of Inspection? No. A Coast Guard COI comes from the responsible authority. Our report covers only the agreed private assignment.
